    Dopamine, also known as chemical messenger is a neurotransmitter that helps you to be focused in your learning.It enhances your creativity, imagination power, concentration, memory, curiosity, intelligence and your overall performance.  It keeps you motivated throughout your life and places  you in a pleasurable state. That’s why it’s important to know how you can increase your Dopamine release in your brain. 

Let me tell you about some good practices that you can follow and get an instant increase in Dopamine level. 

1.Get Enough Sleep 

Enough sleep is essential for the Dopamine sensitivity in the brain. Also it keeps you mentally and physically fit. Practice a fixed time for your sleep and it can be around 6 to 8 hours. Make a calm and relaxed environment for your sleep.Most importantly enjoy your sleep. 

2. Healthy Diet 

Food plays a crucial role in releasing Dopamine. Add green tea to your diet because drinking green tea has many benefits including the increase of Dopamine levels.Foods that releases the Dopamine in the brain include cheese, yogurt, bananas, apples, watermelon, almonds, peanuts, eggs, fish, chicken, soy foods and green leafy vegetables. A balanced diet  increases the release of Dopamine in your brain. 

3. Exercise Regularly 

Enjoy exercising and this can increase your Dopamine levels. All kinds of exercises release Dopamine in the brain. Either practice walking, aerobics, gym, dancing, swimming, playing outdoor games, skipping or any other kind of physical exercises. Exercise is extremely beneficial for a person to have a healthy life and you should do it regularly. Students who regularly exercise will have higher concentration power and this will help you in the academic performances. 

4.Practice Meditation

Yoga and Meditation will help you have good Dopamine levels in your brain. Those who meditate will have  around 50%  more increase in Dopamine levels than those who don’t. You can practice yoga and meditation for one hour preferably in the mornings or in the evenings. This  helps you to stay positive and reduce stress hormones. Reducing your stress will also increase your Dopamine levels. 

5.Music 

If you love to listen to music, then whenever you hear happy music, it enhances the release of Dopamine. Listening to music and dancing can trigger the release of Dopamine in your brain. Enjoy some happy music whenever you feel stressed. 

6.Sun exposure

Sun exposure regulates your Dopamine and serotonin levels and both these keeps you focused in your learning.This can help you stay away from stress and depression. 

7.Count Your Achievements 

When you achieve your goals,your brain releases Dopamine. But it takes a long time to achieve a big goal. What if you break your big goal to short time goals(a goal of 5 minutes or 15 minutes )? Each time you achieve your small goals, you will get your Dopamine level increased and that can enhance your learning skills.
